Silicone

Silicone rubber, indispensable material for our century and future, has been developing with high tecnology since 1930 and has become valuable material. Silicone is used in wide application areas such as; packaging, medical, electronic material, airship and space endustry. Silicone is excelled from other materials in variable conditions due to high compability and strength. Several high technology silicone-like materials are discussed and investigated on environmential impacts and risk by researchers but silicone is excepted these debates. Because silicone is natural product due to raw material which contains sand.

Thermal Properties

Silicone keeps its pshyical and electrical properties, dielectric strength, isolation resistance and elasticity properties between -60 and 250 °C. Silicone products can keep flexibility and elasticity at 200 °c continiously used under 1000 hours. For small period at 300 °C, it does not deteriorate visually.

Medical Compatible Silicones

Silicone which is accepted as an antiseptic and antiallergic, comforts patients without occur any infection in human body. Silicones which are used in surgery and remain in patients 29 days or less, are called medical compatible silicones
